ASL for Veterans?

I did a video recently about American Sign Language and the impact it can have for veterans.

The VA currently provides compensation for more than 933,000 veterans as of 2014 for service connected hearing-related disabilities.

I would be very interested to know if any of you have any experience with veterans that learned sign language because of an injury or disability resulting from their service.

  • What was your experience?

  • Were they willing to learn ASL?

  • Was there convincing needed?

  • What steps did you take to be successful?

I'll attach a youtube video that I published. It was also the first time I created Closed Captioning for a video...that was interesting for sure.
